The @citybeautiful is going to SHAKE UP the old downtown Information center with the help of the local creative company at Prismatic. The redesigned center will feature a retail shop with locally made goods, a circular information desk, digital walls, large murals by the formally local and internationally known artist Boy Kong and more. The space will expand from 1,950 sq. ft. to 3,800 sq. ft. During construction the Info Center will operate a new temporary location starting Tuesday, July 10 at the CityArts Factory at the corner of Orange Avenue and Pine Street Tuesdays-Fridays from 11 a.m.-5pm.Continue Reading …

TRANSCRIPT: A new restaurant called The Hangry Bison has opened its doors in the Winter Park Village shopping center in the former Firefly space. Located across from the movie theatre, The Hangry Bison focuses on burgers made from beef, bison and seafood. They also specialize in bourbon and beer. Some of their produce is sourced from Florida growers.
Grain & Ember, a new pizza restaurant owned by the owners of Pizzeria Roberti, will open inside Sanford’s under-construction foodhall, Henry’s Depot, later this Fall. (MAP). The food hall is in a former train depot built in 1940 located within the Downtown Commercial Historic District at 212 W. 1st Street. Recently announced tenants are Nutty Peanut a Peanut Butter Café; Dixie Dharma vegan restaurant; Twisted Greek serving gyro sandwiches; and a brewery named The Basin.Continue Reading …
