PFT Media Podcast NetworkTRANSCRIPT: The Heavy, a new hybrid plant shop, coffee shop and event space held its grand opening last weekend at 1152 Harmon Ave inside the huge former Lombardi’s Seafood warehouse and processing plant in Winter Park. A coffee bar is expected to open there by Credo Coffee.

Guy Fieri opened a new restaurant in Orlando called “Chicken Guy!” Accented by 22 dippin’ sauces, this new Disney Springs spot sells chicken tenders, salads and sandwiches for around seven dollars.

Deeply Coffee is now open for business at 111 N. Magnolia Ave in downtown Orlando. They serve King State Coffee which is roasted in Tampa, Spiri Tea tea which is based in Chicago, and made-in-house Pearl Sugar Belgian Liege Waffles. Continue Reading …

PFT Media Podcast NetworkTRANSCRIPT: Publix is now hanging signs in their stores that explain briefly their service animal policy. The policy isn’t new or different. It’s always been in place. Now they’re just alerting the public through appropriate signage. The service animal signs say, “For food safety reasons, only service animals that are specifically trained to aid a person with disabilities are permitted within the store,” the signs say. “Service animals are not permitted to sit or ride in shopping carts. Thank you for your help!”

Universal Orlando may be opening a 4th theme park in Orlando called Fantastic Worlds according to their patent application for that name with the attached purpose of “entertainment services in the nature of amusement park and theme park services.”Continue Reading …

Robinson Street, at the corner of Robinson and Rosalind. Improvements most visible and useful to locals looking for a new place to eat lunch or hang the construction of shade pavilions, increased plaza space, outdoor recreating space.

Gratitude Coffee Shop is now open in College Park at 1307 Edgewater Dr. Hours will be Monday thru Friday 7am-3pm and Saturdays 8am-2pm. The shop will sell coffee, used books, local art, plants and more.  The business had been running as a coffee truck for years.Continue Reading …

The Mayor will share the City’s current and future plans with the community. Locals can watch the presentation live as well as watch the recording of it later at cityoforlando.net.

The new area code for new phone customers in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and parts of Lake and Volusia counties will be 689 within about 10 months. Customers with the 407 area code will retain it. The new code was supposed to be introduced in 2002 but because of an “aggressive push for number conservation plans,” it wasn’t.Continue Reading …
